A new strain of leprosy emerged in Japan in December of 2012, mutating from the leftover radiation of the Hiroshima bomb. The single patient went on to infect more through biting and scratching. All injured persons came down with a fever, sores, high blood pressure, and a slurry of other painful symptoms. Those infected would live for about three hours before dying from the high fever, but they didn't stay dead for long. These infected came back to life with nothing but the primal instinct to eat human flesh. Once bitten by an infected you too join their horde of un-dead.
Only a few survivors remain, staying on the move to avoid getting pinned down. Four convoys were formed in the four regions of the United States. These convoys stay alive by keeping on the move, killing zombies, and scavenging and hunting their food. Lifeโs tough, but itโs better than becoming an infected. Welcome to the Abyss of the Dead.
